CC - Project Cost Controller

NAPOLI, NA, Italy

The hired resource will work closely with the Site Directors and Project Managers, handling the administrative, accounting, and analytical management of the assigned contracts.

They will independently manage the bureaucratic-administrative tasks related to the contracts, translating the site work into the official accounting records and interfacing with the Works Management for the timely issuance of the progress reports. At the same time, they will take care of the internal industrial accounting, monitoring the actual costs of materials and labor against the initial budget, and will provide strategic technical-analytical support in drafting changes during the work, new prices, and any management of reserves.

Responsibility

  • Drafting of work accounting (active and passive): Drafting and updating of the measurement book, the accounting register, and the summaries
  • Management of Work Progress Status (SAL): Preparation of the documentation for the issuance of the SAL and the related payment certificates, interfacing with the Works Management and the Project Managers
  • Industrial accounting: Monitoring of site costs, control of daily reports (labor and equipment) and verification of delivery notes/invoices from suppliers and subcontractors
  • Analysis of deviations: Periodic control of the project budget and reporting for management
  • Variations and New Prices: Support in drafting variations during the work, price analysis, and reserve management

Required

  • Diploma in Surveying, Degree in Civil/Building Engineering or Architecture
  • At least 3-5 years in the role, with a specific focus on public contracts (Public Contracts Code)
  • Technical skills: Excellent ability to read technical drawings (AutoCAD) and estimating metric calculations
  • Software: Proficiency in major construction accounting software (e.g. PriMus, STR Vision) and the Office suite (especially Excel)
  • Soft Skills: Surgical precision, analytical skills, ability to work under stress, and problem-solving attitude

Appreciated

  • Knowledge of methodologies BIM for Quantity Surveying and the use of BIM Tools dedicated to computation and accounting
  • Historical memory of the construction site: Often, projects last for months or years. An excellent accountant remembers (or can perfectly trace) why a certain operation was done that way six months ago, protecting the company from late disputes.
  • Knowledge of the English language
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the workforce. Ability to go to the construction site, engage with the team leaders, and verify in person if the excavation or pouring corresponds to what is written in the drawings.
